As a Games Tester, playing games will actually be part of your job, giving you an opportunity to experience different genres, explore various mechanics, and gain thorough insight into game design.
To become a Games Developer / Tester, you’ll need GCSEs in Maths, English, and ideally Computer Science and Art & Design. This could lead on to A Levels in similar subjects, or you could study a Technical Diploma, T Level or Apprenticeship. You could then consider progressing to Higher Education to study Games Design or a related field.
