The 10‑day SOTSEF Fringe, part of the Southampton Science & Engineering Festival, brings a city‑wide celebration of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to Southampton through a packed programme of hands‑on workshops, public talks, lab tours and community activities led by researchers from the University of Southampton. Across the ten days, visitors can explore themes such as marine science, engineering innovation, robotics, AI, health research and sustainability, with events hosted both on campus and in community venues to make STEM accessible to all ages. The Fringe builds momentum toward the flagship Science & Engineering Day, creating an engaging, inclusive festival atmosphere that celebrates curiosity and discovery.
